
Changing Negativity Within
Negativity is the expression of criticism of or pessimism about something. When someone is negative, it can create issues such as depression, anxiety, fear, sadness, hopelessness, and more. These issues cause an unhealthy stress level which can create other major health problems.
Fortunately negativity is a mind set that can be reprogrammed. Many people accomplish this by using an easy technique everyday that they found changed their own personal moods and attitudes. When using the techniques people are finding its helping them become more aware of the things they are doing that contributes to their negative behaviors and moods.
Awareness is one of the key factors in making positive changes. You need to know what to change. With the use of simple positive affirmations on a daily basis, one begins to discover self-growth and worth. Whether it’s helping with self esteem, confidence, self-love or something else, it’ll improve your mood, attitude, and mindset. Affirmations are positive statements that we say to ourselves to help us get past issues of self-sabotaging or negative thoughts.
Many people do what’s known as “negative talk” to themselves. It can be a thought or thinking that you’ve done something wrong, stupid, or dumb. But this train of thinking is what creates the negative energy process. Anything belittling to or thinking negatively towards yourself is creating a pattern in your subconscious that grows into an image of how you actually see and perceive the person you are today, even if you’re unaware of doing it.
By using the positive affirmations each day, your mind will start thinking in a different manor as it begins reprogramming itself. At first your mind will probably laugh at the affirmations and perhaps even poke fun at them. This is normal because you don’t yet believe the positive things the affirmations are showing you. Keep working at it and you’ll see the changes occur after time. It’s breaking the ugly habit and cycle of the negativity which will take time but be worth the work.
Remember it took time for those negative seeds to be planted and to grow in the first place and how many years have they been there working at tearing you down. So give the positive energy a chance to grow. After all, the seed is just getting planted and needs time too.
There are many different techniques that help with this process so find one that resonates and works well for you. The most simplest one I suggest to my clients is writing the positive affirmations on sticky notes. Then placing them in spots they’ll be seen several times a day. Like the refrigerator, the bathroom mirrors, on the cover of your nighttime reading book or the lamp on the nightstand, on the TV remote, and even on the dashboard of your vehicle.
There’s no limits except what you create. Other ways that help are taking better care of yourself through, Yoga, Meditating, and Smudging yourself and home. Guess what… You’re Worth it!
