Healthy Tears
Crying is one of the body’s defense mechanisms to rid itself of stress, pain, hurt, fear, and all the other unwanted negativities that later reek havoc on the body.
Unfortunately, many have been taught that crying is not acceptable and it’s showing signs of weakness, therefore should never be done. When actually crying is one of the most normal bodily functions to having emotions. This feeling is the strength of our own body managing life. It’s letting go of the useless and even damaging emotions from our body to keep us healthy. It allows the feeling of happiness to be overwhelmingly enjoyed and also allows sadness to discard for its own healing purposes.
To say crying is a weakness is no different than saying you should never laugh because happiness is being weak. There’s no logic in either of those statements at all.
The human body is perfectly designed to go through, withstand, endure, and discard, life events because of its capability to eliminate the waste through all of the different emotions it uses, including crying.
By not allowing this function to happen, all of the waste will continue to grow and fester inside the body as it is bottled all over time, creating a huge mass that the body can no longer handle.
This is when the negative emotional wrecking crew becomes a factor in your life. Your health isn’t what it used to be, your relationships with family, friends, and significant others are being impacted in a poor manner, and even work becomes a struggle. In fact, this will soon affect every aspect of your life.
Emotions are not meant to be suppressed yet society teaches us to do just that. Our bodies emotions are designed like finely tuned machines, running smoothly until we, ourselves, throws a wrench into the gears.
Any pent-up emotion can lead to issues with fear, anxiety, panic attacks, uncontrolled feelings, health problems, and more. It causes the body to become unbalanced and stressed out. So, what can you do? All any of us need to do is listen to our bodies and allow it to function properly, unlike we were taught.
Lowering these types of stress levels can be done through yoga, massage, meditation, smudging, and Reiki therapy. All of these go hand in hand for health and well-being. They all are ancient holistic healing practices which are now recommended by doctors and specialist and are even used in some hospitals.
