How to know you’re on the right path:

Each of us has our own path to follow in life. Some paths are better than others and we travel along each of them as long as we want until we switch paths. This happens depending upon the choices and decisions we make during the course of our life.

Whatever path you’ve chosen for yourself can also have a large effect on your health. If the path of alcohol or drug abuse is chosen, then health can become seriously endangered by the addictions of this path. Or if the path chosen is one with abusive partners, neither are wise choices and only lead to a dismayed life, hardships and struggles.

How about the path of gratitude and kindness or a path filled with happiness and love? Either of these two paths can provide encouragement, confidence, self-love and worth. But it’s understanding that whatever path you’re on, is because you’ve chosen it.

Therefore, if you don’t like where you’re at or the direction you’re going, just simply pick a different path. As you can imagine, there are a wide range of paths a person can follow or take. After all, how many choices do we make each day that impacts our life.

Our paths are not written in stone but each does have a huge impact on our body’s health. It affects us mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Either relieving or building stresses, lowering or causing anxieties and depression, creating low self-esteem, and doubts of who we are and our beliefs, or providing us with confidence, strength and courage. Whichever life path you’ve chosen, can all become the result of health issues or improvements within our body’s.

The key is to know when you’re on the correct path, which may seem obvious but for some people, it’s a difficult thing to understand or even recognize. The best way is to acknowledge your feelings because they’ll let you know. When you’re on the right path, you’ll feel good and when you’re on the wrong path, you’ll feel bad.

Now it doesn’t mean that because alcohol or drug use can make you feel good, it’s the correct path. The feeling of that particular path is not sustainable or continuous. That is a path to self-destruction and nothing else.

When you’re on the correct path, you’ll truly feel good and happy, it will be consistent and last. When your happiness becomes sustained, you’ll know you’re on the correct path for you. Not only will you be happy, but you’ll have energy, things will flow smoothly, and life will seem easier. Sure, there’ll still be some ups and downs but for the most part, it’ll be a good life and you’ll feel it.

Being on the right path may sound simple because it is, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to do. On a daily basis, outside sources play a significant role in the decisions we make, including the paths we choose to take. For example, if you awoke in the morning, got out of bed and stubbed your toe, your day may begin to spiral downwards as will your mood. As the day continues on, the choices you make probably won’t be on the positive side due to the downward spiral your day was in right from the beginning. Therefore, the negativity will grow.

Have you ever had a day like that? Most people have. Those days where you wished you had never gotten out of bed. Those days where everything seems to just be going wrong. Well, these are the moments to stop, focus, and shift paths, for that higher ground.

This is where it gets harder for many people. They honestly don’t know how to change the paths in their life. Mainly because they think it’s the life they were given, and nothing can change it. Yes, the life was given to them, but the path was chosen. Meaning the life, they’re living is what they’ve chosen, therefore it can change but only when they do it.

Try practicing this for a moment. Sit down in a comfortable spot and close your eyes. Take a few slow deep breaths. Then think about something that makes you happy. A loved one, a special animal, an event you were at or anything, as long as it makes you feel happy. As you breathe, picture this happy vision until you notice yourself smiling because of it. You can actually feel the happiness of it. Now, slowly open your eyes, remembering how good you feel because of that memory.

That’s how you begin to shift paths. By creating this positive feeling within yourself, it’ll shift the old negative path, over into a positive direction onto a positive path. The negative impact of anything can be replaced by a positive and vice versa.

This is also how you’ll know if you’re on the right path. You’ll feel good and happy because it’ll be a positive place.

Negative thoughts only attract more negative things, events, people, and so on, creating the unpleasant experience of a darkened path.

Positive thoughts attract positivity in all aspects of life, creating the path of life opportunities, well-being and happiness.

Do you understand how your choices create the path you’re on? Good! Now it’s your time to create the desired path for your individual life and become healthy, strong, and happy within yourself. Stay positive and the positive will come.
