Slowing down?

Everyone these days are always in a hurry. They’re rushed because they’re running late for work, school, practice or the kids’ game. They’re rushing to leave for vacation, then in a hurry to do all the things they want to do in the short period they call a vacation and then rushing again to get home at a decent time to start back in their normal routine. But, whatever the reason, it’s still causing havoc in your body and in your health.

It all boils down to every day stress which you can have some control over but you choose not to.

This is only one example of stress that everyone puts themselves through without realizing the effects and strain it is having on your health and body. Stress of any type is still stress and research has shown that stress is one of the leading causes of major health problems including heart attacks and even death.

It’s time to stop! Stop rushing yourself, stop causing this extra stress and stop hurrying just because you’re afraid you might miss out on something. Life isn’t forever so don’t rush it by. Slow down on how fast your driving, spend more time with your family, leave early so you’re not late, go to bed sooner or wake up on time so you won’t be rushed.

Just stop and smell the flowers once in awhile as you walk by instead of running past them and missing it all. Just slow down or you may actually miss life itself.

When do you just let your mind relax, allow your body to rejuvenate or how about your spirit to replenish itself? When was the last time you just sat in the moment? You can’t remember, can you.
