
Spring into Health
Do you feel as though you’ve been cooped up for months now and maybe even feeling a bit stagnant?
Living in Michigan, although a very beautiful place to be, can have its challenging times for many people living here. Such as the continuous grey, gloomy skies during the winter months that seem to last beyond anyone’s wishes. Or dealing with the snow, ice and high winds which keeps you hostage in your homes.
Staying sedentary isn’t the answer though and it’s not the best thing to do for your body’s health. It can cause plenty of issues and suffering in the long run.
The New Year usually brings in hope to accomplish goals set for getting healthier but then fall short as the winter months continue to drag on.
The bright side of the dark clouded weather is that it does eventually change, as does everyone’s moods. The minute the sun pops out with signs of spring, people start feeling that energetic charge to get moving.
That’s when it’s time to get your stagnant bodies off the sofa and into motion. That’s right… Spring into Health and into Action because your body needs it! Your health is depending on your actions to improve circulation, muscle strength and blood flow to every organ that we never even think about. Spring is your starting point.
By simply getting outside in the fresh air and go for a walk, taking a bike ride, just spending some time in nature, maybe join a local cardio drumming class, or try doing yoga, any activity will begin improvements for your body.
Go do something to break yourself out of the winter funk that is trying to hold you down. Movement will get the blood flowing again and muscles back in motion, including the mind.
Yes, at first, it’ll be hard. Starting always seems to be the hardest part but once you get going, you’ll feel the enjoyment of being active again and feeling healthier because you did. Sure, there might be a sore day or two but think of all those weeks of being sedentary… really can’t complain too much, huh?
Your health is worth it, your body is worth it, your mind is worth it and YOU are worth it!
